If you are diagnosed with Irritable Bowel Syndrome
Even though there are different types of research, doctors cannot find the cause of your complaints? Then you are often diagnosed with “IBS” Irritable Bowel Syndrome. What the confirm with this is that your bowels are “irritated” but you have already figured that out yourself. You still are left with the question: “Why?” You have a nice label to go with your complaints, that is true.
Treatment of IBS, just a question of simply trying different things?
I have been told that “IBS” is chronic. Which means that it is incurable and will not ever go away. What about treatment? Well, that is a matter of trying a lot of different things. What changes in lifestyle (nutrition, exercise and regularity) might sometimes lessen the complaints. Most of the people who were diagnosed with “IBS” will never lose their complaints completely.
IBD Free Life will search for and find the cause
Just learn to live with it. At IBD Free Life we do not think so. Because if you do not know the causation of your complaints then trying to treat it will be very difficult. That the causation is not found, does mean that you have to continue searching in our opinion. So that is what we will do. We will not only examine your intestines but take a look at the entire “process”
The most typical causes of “IBS” we have found so far at IBD Free Life are:
- A bacteria, parasite or Candida
- A disturbance of the intestinal flora
- A problem with certain types of food or the digestion of food
- A problem with the management of the intestines by the nerve system (neurons)
- Or a combination of these factors
Diagnosis: completing the puzzle
To be able to diagnose with “IBS” we will always examine the following points:
- Your intestinal flora, the status of your digestion, probable infections.
- The effectiveness of the function of your intestines and the status of your minerals and vitamins.
We will examine this by blood and or stool test. With a regular type of research such as a colonoscopy, a doctor will only look at the particular organ that is ill, and not examine the function of the entire system.
Within 3 to 6 months permanently complaint free
The results from the tests we will combine with the extensive intake. During the intake, we will listen closely to your personal story and will also discuss the anamnesis. Which is an extensive intake form which you need to fill in, in advance. Combined we will have a complete picture and we will guarantee that we can find the cause of your complaints. With our targeted approach, we will help you within 3 to 6 months to heal yourself completely from “IBS”

Complaints or symptoms can vary day by day. Common symptoms are:
- Stomach ache
- Varying stool pattern

- In contrast with Crohn`s disease and Ulcerative Colitis, people suffering from IBS will not have active infections in their intestines as a symptom
IBS is part of the “functional stomach complaints” or “functional belly complaints” which means, that there are complaints without a demonstratable cause or illness.
When the M.D is thinking of diagnosing a patient with IBS, he or she will order a test. This test will not show any demonstrable deviations in your intestines. But the typical IBS complaints will persist. Then the M.D will diagnose a patient with IBS.
